PSNI - Helps bride on wedding day

A bride made it to her wedding on time today thanks to a helping hand from the PSNI.

A vintage wedding car carrying the bride and her father to the ceremony broke down along the way.

But a passing police patrol came to her rescue.

Inspector Mark Roberts was driving along Pond Park Road when he spotted the stranded bridal party.

Inspector Roberts said it was a pleasure to be able to help a bride on her big day and to make sure she got to her appointment on time.

Helping people is the very basis of our job and it was great to get the opportunity to do it in such a nice way, he said.
