A German high-speed train was forced to make an emergency stop when a trampoline was blown on to the tracks from a nearby garden, police said on Wednesday.

The Intercity Express was travelling from Cologne to Vienna and was forced to stop outside Bonn.

It reportedly came to a halt 300 metres after it hit the trampoline.

No one was injured, although the train sustained damage to its front lights.
