NATO troops have taken control of and sealed off Kosovo's northern border after Serb protestors set fire to customs and police posts at two crossings.
The protestors oppose Kosovo's declaration of independence from Serbia last Sunday.
Eyewitnesses said Kosovan police and UN customs officials were forced to withdraw as the crowds used bulldozers and explosives to destroy the border posts.
Serbia has said it intends to take control of the customs posts in order to establish what it calls the full authority of Serbian statehood.
