US Secretary for Homeland Security Michael Chertoff has said terrorists from Europe now represent the biggest terrorist and security threat to his country.
Mr Chertoff claimed it was important to increase checks on travellers from Europe to the US.
He said most people could now enter the US without being screened and he wanted tighter security regulations to be imposed.
