Two climbers have been taken to Kerry General Hospital after being rescued from the McGillycuddy Reeks.
One of the climbers is believed to have sustained serious head, back and leg injuries. The second received minor injuries.
The rescue operation began at 8pm last night and lasted for more than nine hours. It involved over 50 people including club members and locals.
The two climbers are believed to have fallen while descending from Carrauntuohill.
