A 20-year-old man has been killed when his motor cycle collided with a pole in Schull, Co Cork.
Gardaí from Schull Garda Station named the 20-year-old man as Ingus Zemgalis of Lowertown, Schull, Cork.
There were no other vehicles involved.
The scene at Colla Road is being examined and diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the accident and are asking anyone who may have been on the Colla Road between midnight and 0.30am this morning to contact them.
