The Dublin-based Coast Guard helicopter airlifted an injured diver to hospital in the Isle of Man last night after he got into difficulties while diving off the Co Down coast.
The Portaferry inshore lifeboat went to the scene off Gunns Island at the mouth of Strangford Lough.
The man, who is in his 50s, had sustained head injuries and was suspected to be suffering from decompression sickness.
