Talks between Eircom management and unions are due to resume at the Labour Relations Commission tomorrow afternoon.
Six hours of talks took place yesterday, and it was expected that they would resume today.
The Communications Workers Union served strike notice on the company last Thursday in a dispute over the non-payment of a 2% wage increase due under the national pay agreement.
On the adjournment of the talks last night, CWU General Secretary Steve Fitzpatrick said there was still a possibility that the strike could be averted.
