A 12-year-old girl has been rescued from the sea off the north-west coast.
She was on board a rubber raft which drifted out to sea at Bundoran in Co Donegal and attempts by her mother to get her back ashore were unsuccessful.
The raft was almost a kilometre off shore when the Sligo based coastguard helicopter and the local lifeboat reached the scene.
The lifeboat succeeded in rescuing the girl and taking her safely ashore.
