A 76-year-old man who was injured in a fall while climbing on Mount Brandon in Co Kerry this afternoon has been airlifted to hospital.
The man was one of a group of six climbers who began the climb earlier today.
Shortly after 4pm, he fell more than 50 feet when the group was about half way up the mountain.
The Shannon based coast guard helicopter went to the scene and airlifted him to hospital in Tralee.
