The victims of yesterday's plane crash near Indreabhán Co Galway have been named.
The pilot has been named as 59-year-old Matt Masterson from Terenure, Co Dublin. Mr Masterson was an experienced pilot who usually flew out of Weston Aerodrome in Co Kildare.
The second victim was 57-year-old Paul McNamee, a married man and father of two, from Loughrea in Co Galway. He was an accountant.
Three people remain in a serious condition in hospital while four other passengers are in a stable condition. None are critical, according to the Health Service Executive.
Air accident investigators have begun an examination of the site of yesterday's crash.
The single-engine Cessna aircraft crashed while landing at Aerfort na Minna in Indreabhán, Connemara, yesterday afternoon.
The plane, which was extensively damaged, will be removed from the site when all examinations are complete and will be taken to a compound in Gormanstown, Co Meath where detailed tests can be carried out.
The passengers on board were all associated with the Clifden Airport Company and were returning from a meeting on Inis Meáin when the plane crashed.
