Man sentenced for Cork arson attack

A 34-year-old man who was found guilty of five counts of arson in Skibbereen in west Cork was due to be sentenced today.

Vladimir Raspapov, with an address at North Quay Place, Popes Quay in Cork, was found guilty by a majority verdict during his retrial in May.

He had denied arson to five buildings in April 2006 which caused €3m worth of damage.
