Gardaí in Galway are searching for a woman in her late 30s who has been missing since yesterday afternoon.
She was part of a group which was camping near Menlo Castle on the River Corrib.
Her companions became concerned when she failed to return after having indicated that she intended going for a swim.
The search got underway this morning after a number of items of clothing were found on the shore.
The garda air support unit is taking part in the search.
Gardaí say the search is expected to be scaled down for the night.
It is expected to resume at first light tomorrow.
