The Department of Transport's Air Accident Investigation Unit is to investigate the cause of yesterday evening's crash landing of a single-seater plane in Co Wexford.
The pilot, a man in his 50s believed to be from the UK, sustained back injuries when the microlite plane went down in a cornfield in the townland of Caim, near Enniscorthy, at about 5.30pm.
He managed to get out of the plane unaided but was taken to Wexford General Hospital.
