A man in his late fifties had a lucky escape this evening, after the single-seat aircraft in which he was travelling crashed in County Wexford.
The 'micro-light' plane went down in a cornfield in the townland of Caim, three miles from Enniscorthy.
The accident happened at 5.30pm.
The pilot who received back injuries was taken to Wexford General Hospital. The Air Traffic Investigation Unit is trying to establish the cause of the incident.
