The death toll from this morning's plane crash in Russia has risen to seven.

At least 10 people were injured after the Russian passenger jet, carrying 57 people, was forced to make an emergency landing in the city of Samara.

A spokesperson for the emergency ministry said that the plane's fuselage collapsed after a wing touched the ground during the landing, and the aircraft crash landed.

The plane was en route from the Siberian city of Surgut.
