32 jobs to go at Sligo factory

A manufacturing company has announced it is to close its factory with the loss of 32 jobs in Finisklin, near Sligo town.

Daret Manufacturing, which makes cosmetics display items, said it expects to close at the end of May.

The company blamed increasing costs and competition.

The US owned company set up operations in Sligo just over 20 years ago.
