Shannon Airport had to close for a time this afternoon after an American Airlines flight burst two tyres on landing.
The flight, with 115 passengers and 12 crew on board, was making a scheduled stop at Shannon just before midday when two tyres on the aircraft burst.
Passengers had to be brought to the terminal building by bus.
The airport had to be closed for 40 minutes and the plane had to be pulled from the runway to a side taxiway.
