Fine Gael's Phil Hogan has said that Gaelic footballer Graham Geraghty will decide in the next few days if he will put himself forward for selection as a Fine Gael candidate in Meath West.
Deputy Hogan, commenting on the latest Sunday Business Post opinion poll, said he would prefer if support for Fine Gael was higher.
He added that their support is solid and he predicted the party would win more than fifty seats at the next election.
Deputy Hogan also told the programme that the Jackie Healy-Rae TD and son Michael will decide in the next few days whether Michael will contest the next Election.
Independent TD, Mildred Fox, said her organisation in Wicklow will decide in January on their strategy for the next election, following her announcement that she will not run for the Dáil.
She said there are many possibilities and it is important that Wicklow retains an Independent TD.
