Former Dublin star O'Leary to run for FF

The former Dublin GAA star, John O'Leary, is to run for Fianna Fáil in Dublin North in next year's General Election.

The former Dublin GAA star, John O'Leary, is to run for Fianna Fáil in Dublin North in next year's General Election.

Mr O'Leary, who won All-Ireland football titles in 1983 and 1995, is to contest the seat vacated by Jim Glennon who is not standing at the next election. 

Speaking this morning, Taoiseach Bertie Ahern said he was delighted that Mr O'Leary had agreed to run for Fianna Fáil.
