Gardaí have confirmed that Taoiseach Bertie Ahern's car was involved in a minor traffic accident this evening.
The accident occurred at Ballybough on Dublin's northside when the Taoiseach's car was struck by another vehicle.
No one was injured in the incident and Mr Ahern continued his journey to Government Buildings where he is currently attending a meeting.
