Folk musician Mícheál Ó Domhnaill dies

The death has taken place of Mícheál Ó Domhnaill, one of the foremost figures in folk and traditional music.

He died suddenly at his Dublin home. He was 54.

A native of Co Meath, he was a former member of the Bothy Band.

He also performed regularly with his sisters Triona and Maighread.
