Hugo Chavez - Warns against attack on Iran

The United States has imposed an arms sale ban on Venezuela for what it believes is a lack of help in Washington's war on terrorism.

The ban means the US prohibits all military sales to Venezuela and prevents any re-sale of US arms and technology from other nations.

The US is concerned about Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez's friendly relationship with Cuba and Iran, two countries it says sponsor terrorism.

President Chavez has warned that any attack on Iran will have devastating consequences and send oil prices soaring.
