Israel's main arms research facility was hit by an accidental explosion this morning that caused several casualties.
The ambulance service said the blast occurred near the entrance to the Rafael arms research facility near the northern city of Haifa.
Rafael, the Israel Armament Development Authority, develops some of Israel's most sophisticated weapons systems, including missiles and drones.
The ambulance service reported that several people were hurt. Army Radio reported multiple injuries.
