Tens of thousands of people marched in France today in memory of a Jewish man kidnapped, tortured and killed by a violent extortion gang.
Over 30,000 people walked past the mobile telephone shop in Paris where Ilan Halimi worked.
Some lit candles or released white balloons as they passed the shop, while others sang the French national anthem or chanted Jewish prayers.
The abduction and murder of the 23-year-old has raised tensions between France's large Jewish and Muslim communities.
