Victims of road accidents named

Gardaí have named the two men who were killed in separate road accidents in counties Cork and Donegal last night.

The man who died in a road accident in Ballincollig, Co Cork was 30-year-old John Quinlan of the The Close, Coolroe Meadows in Ballincollig.

Mr Quinlan was killed when his bicycle was involved in a collision with a car at Farran Cross near Macroom just after 8pm.

Gardaí in Macroom are appealing for witnesses to the fatal collision. They can be contacted on 026-20590.

The man who was killed in a road accident in Buncrana, Co Donegal has been named as 28-year-old Francis Vaughan from Oakfield Terrace in Letterkenny.

Mr Vaughan was fatally injured when the vehicle in which he was a passenger was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle.
