Passengers leaving from Dublin Airport over the weekend have been advised to turn up well ahead of departure time as the airport continues its increased security measures.
There were no significant delays at the airport today but passenger numbers are expected to be higher tomorrow and travellers are still being asked to check in at least 90 minutes before their flight.
New staff will begin working at security points from tomorrow in a bid to alleviate the delays which have caused more than 200 passengers to miss their flights in recent days.
In total, 60 security screeners are being trained following a security lapse at the airport during an EU security audit earlier this month.
The Department of Transport and Dublin Airport Authority are examining the possibility of opening additional security points and providing more scanning machines at the airport in a bid to alleviate disruption.
