Cyclist dies after accident in Co Mayo

A female cyclist in her sixties has died in hospital after a road accident in Co Mayo yesterday evening.

A female cyclist in her sixties has died in hospital after a road accident in Co Mayo yesterday evening.

The accident happened at Ballina Road in Swinford at about 5pm.

The woman was involved in a collision with a lorry.

She was brought to Castlebar General Hospital where she later died last night.

Her name has not yet been released.
