Protests planned over Bush visit

Anti-war groups have said Ireland will come to a halt next June, with massive public demonstrations against the visit of US President George W Bush.

The groups, which organised last year's 100,000 strong anti-war protest in Dublin, say they will demonstrate against President Bush whether he meets the Taoiseach in 'Carrantuohill or Croagh Patrick'.

They are also organising a protest march this Saturday to mark the first anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.
