Strike action which had been planned by SIPTU workers at Aer Rianta will not now go ahead tomorrow morning. The strike was scheduled to have taken place between 8am and 10am.
Following a lengthy meeting this afternoon, Jack O Connor of SIPTU announced that the decision had been unanimous.
Mr O'Connor said that, while they remain sceptical about what may come out of the talks process, they were prepared to engage with the Department on the basis of the commitment which they had received from the Minister and the Taoiseach.
However, that will only take place within a reasonable time frame, he said, and he would not specify what time frame that was.
Aer Rianta has welcomed the decision, and said the company regrets any inconvenience and uncertainty caused to its customers over the past two weeks.
