Worker is hurt at Santa's Kingdom

A worker was taken to hospital this afternoon after part of Santa's Kingdom in Punchestown, Co Kildare, collapsed.
A statement issued on behalf of Santa's Kingdom said a small backstage structure fell.
The employee was taken to Naas General Hospital with an ankle injury.

The area was evacuated and ticketholders were advised to contact Ticketmaster for a refund.
Following a safety inspection, the organisers hope the venue will open again on schedule tomorrow morning.
