Delays of about two hours can be expected for passengers at Dublin airport for the rest of the evening because of fog earlier today.
A total of 25 flights had to be cancelled because of the poor visibility, extra aircraft had to be brought in and the knock-on effects mean disruption will continue for the rest of the evening.
The flights cancelled were mainly Ryanair and Aer Arann aircraft because they do not have navigation equipment necessary for poor visibility. But delays are now affecting all flights both outgoing and incoming.
Ryanair say any passenger who had to book with another airline will be entitled to a refund.
