ASAI issues complaints bulletin

The Advertising Standards Authority of Ireland has criticised Eircom for misleading advertising of its I-stream highspeed internet product.

In its latest complaints bulletin the ASAI said it had received 36 complaints in relation to Eircom's adverts and upheld in full four claims against the company.

A complaint was also upheld against Aer Lingus relating to its claim that the company offers its cheapest fares on its website.

The Authority also upheld a complaint against Ryanair.

The company had advertised 'Easter Specials' for travel to the UK, but the small print showed the fares were not valid for travel during Easter.
