Sinn Féin rally over postponed elections

Sinn Féin is to stage rallies in 30 cities and towns on both sides of the border to protest over the postponement of the Assembly elections.

Sinn Féin is to stage rallies in 30 cities and towns on both sides of the border to protest over the postponement of the Stormont Assembly elections on 29 May.

Announcing his party's plans, Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness appealed for a peaceful summer on the streets.

He said all armed groups should bear in mind that politicians needed to be allowed the space to sort out the current difficulties.
