State of emergency lifted in Serbia

Serbia's acting president, Natasa Micic, has ordered the lifting of the country's state of emergency.

Ms Micic said that after 42 days, the conditions were met for the state of emergency to be lifted.

The state of emergency was declared on 12 March, just hours after prime minister Zoran Djindjic was shot dead in broad daylight outside the main government building in Belgrade.
