The two-and-a-half-year-old boy who died in a house fire in Coolock has been named as Jason Byrne. His mother, Tracey, is still in a critical condition in St James' hospital. The grandparents were also in the house at the time; they were not seriously injured. Gardaí are investigating the cause. Gardaí say that the fire broke out in an upstairs bedroom at the house on Cromcastle Road in Coolock. It was noticed by a neighbour at around a quarter to eight. Three units of the Dublin Fire Brigade fought the blaze.
