Three charged over attack on homes in Mullingar

Three men have appeared before a special sitting of Mullingar District Court in connection with an incident on Thursday.

Windows, doors and insulation were damaged at two houses at Grange Crescent in Mullingar.

John Donoghue, 39, of Abbeylands, Mullingar, Martin Scally 36, and Dean Donoghue, 21, both of Farran Ashe, Mullingar, appeared in court this evening.

They were all charged with causing damage to the front door, windows and insulation at the home of Paul Conway, Grange Crescent, and with a similar offence at the house of Kenneth Hanlon, Grange Crescent.

Charges of violent disorder were also brought against John Donoghue and Mr Scally.

The three were remanded on bail of €200 apiece to appear at Mullingar District Court on 16 July.

In the interim, they are to reside at addresses out of Mullingar and to sign-on at nearby garda stations.
