The death has occurred of Kathleen Reynolds, wife of former taoiseach Albert Reynolds.
Ms Reynolds was 88 had been ill for some time.
She died in the early hours of this morning at the family home in Dublin.
The mother-of-seven supported her husband throughout his political career and travelled with him on
international duties while he was taoiseach between 1992 to 1994.
Mr Reynolds died in 2014 aged 81.
