A retail discount chain is to create 200 jobs with the opening of a central warehousing base in Athlone.
Mr Price, which has 42 stores around the country, has bought the former Nexans plant at Cornamaddy.
The six-hectare site includes more than 15,000 square metres of warehousing and office space.
The chain, which is owned by the Crinion family, sells branded home products.
It said it intended to take on 80 staff members before Christmas and 120 more in the following two years.
It also plans to add to existing warehouses in Ballina, Blanchardstown and Tipperary and increase its number of stores to 60.
