Mayo Mountain Rescue service called on the Irish Coast Guard Rescue 118 helicopter this afternoon to airlift a woman who sustained a head injury after a fall, while on the cone section of Croagh Patrick.
After the alarm was raised with gardaí at 1.30pm, the team's incident commander tasked a first response and a full stretcher party to the location.
The cloud base was down to the first station on Croagh Patrick.
