A man has died following a house fire in Co Roscommon late last night.
The blaze broke out at a home in the village of Ballyleague shortly before midnight.
Gardaí and the emergency services attended the fire.
The occupant of the house, a man in his mid 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
His body has since been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Galway.
The scene has been preserved for examination.
Foul play is not suspected.
A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
