On Wednesday, January 8th, a brand new series of Operation Transformation will kick off on RTÉ One, inspiring the nation to focus on their health and fitness and set themselves some goals for the new year.
Unfortunately, it has been revealed that Offaly Leader Jeanie Kinahan will no longer be taking part in this year's series due to the fact that she is recovering from a surgery that took place just before Christmas.
Following consultation with OT medical expert, Dr. Sumi Dunne, it has been decided that in order to aid Jeanie's recovery, she should take this time to recuperate and, therefore, not start the Operation Transformation Plan.
Everyone at Operation Transformation wishes Jeanie a speedy recovery and are looking forward to checking in with her over the course of the eight weeks
It's worth noting that Jeanie will not be replaced by a new leader. The five leaders for the 13th season of Operation Transformation are Tanya Carroll, Andrea Christopher Rea, Barry Rea, Lorraine O'Neill and Shane Farrell.
