In what is becoming one of the country's most important sporting awards, Cork GAA star Brian Corcoran has scooped the national prize in the Canon Hayes Award's ceremony in Tipperary.
Other awards went to Paul McGrath and Ronnie Delaney, who won the award for Irish sporting event of the millennium. The Taoiseach was amongst the large attendance.
