RTÉ new digital service SAORVIEW launches an information campaign aimed at guiding people through the switch over from analogue to digital television.
Sinéad Crowley reports on a campaign to make people aware of the switch from an analogue to a digital television signal. Around 600,000 homes across the country currently receive some or all of their televison service via an aerial. That service known as analogue transmission will be switched off across Europe towards the end of 2012.
A free to air television in Ireland will be provided by RTE's new digital service SAORVIEW. An information campaign aimed at guiding people through the change is being launched this week.
