The RNLI lifeboat, building a new slipway and water leisure activities at Youghal.
William Matthes filmed the lifeboats at Youghal over a 20 year period. Shown here is the lifeboat the 'J. B. Cooper' which was used between 1966 and 1971. The lifeboat slipway was replaced with a cement one after the original became worn and damaged with time.
The film shows the lifeboat being launched and taken back up the slipway to the RNLI shed. William also filmed people enjoying themselves on and in the water.
