Agriculture Minister, Michael O'Kennedy, is to visit Iran to discuss export deals. Up till now European Community (EC) Ministers were banned from visiting Iran because of the Salman Rushdie affair, but following negotiations within the European Community, the ban was lifted. It remains in place for Prime Ministers or their Deputies.
