The first legal challenge to the 1987 Extradition Act began in the High Court in Dublin today. Thirty-seven-year-old Desmond Ellis of Dunsink Road, Finglas, is wanted in Britain on charges of possessing explosives and with conspiracy to cause explosions. He has denied committing the alleged offences.
