The Gardaí have seized a heavy machinegun near Borris-on-Ossory in County Laois. The gun capable of shooting down aircraft was put on display by the Gardaí in Dublin today.
Report shows the Russian-made machine gun of the same type as was used to shoot down a helicopter in South Armagh recently.
