Celebrating 21 years of the country's first Industrial Development Authority (IDA) industrial estate established in Waterford.

2,000 people are now employed at the industrial estate pumping millions of pounds into the local economy.

Members of the board of the IDA were brought on a tour of the estate following a ceremonial flag raising ceremony.

At an IDA lunch earlier that day, the IDA Chairman Joseph McCabe, spoke about plans for future development and the twinning cooperation strategy for future investment.

President of Waterford City's Chamber of Commerce Mr Jack Deevy identified bars to future growth which he said the government needed to remove.
