Commemoration ceremonies at Arbour Hill to mark the seventieth anniversary of the Easter Rising.
President Patrick Hillery arrives at Arbour Hill and is greeted by Lieutenant General Tadhg O'Neill and Brigadier General Savino.
There is a procession to the memorial.
Attendees include Taoiseach Dr Garret FitzGerald and cabinet members including Peter Barry, Alan Dukes and Patrick Cooney.
Also present are former Taoiseach Liam Cosgrave and members of Fianna Fáil party including Charles Haughey, Michael Woods, Brian Lenihan and John Wilson.
The Labour Party are represented by Michael D Higgins and Chairman Lawrence Wren.
Seán MacBride attends with his son Tiernan MacBride.
Veterans wearing medals are also present.
